Configuring General Store Settings, Currencies & Locales

September 9, 2026

Establishing Your Operational Baseline

The General Settings control foundational attributes that dictate how your storefront renders prices, communicates with buyers, and formats invoices.

1. Brand Profile and Business Credentials

  • Store Display Name: The public commercial moniker rendered across website headers, order receipts, and shipping labels.
  • Tagline & Brand Description: Concise contextual descriptions utilized by search engine crawlers and metadata aggregators.
  • Operational Coordinates: Support desk phone numbers, billing addresses, and warehouse origin zip codes.

2. Monetary Architecture & Currencies

  • Base Ledger Currency: The primary currency in which products and financial reporting balances are stored (e.g. USD, EUR, or IRR).
  • Numeric Formatting: Decimal precision and thousand separator formatting aligned with regional merchant customs.
  • Exchange Multipliers: Dynamic exchange conversion rates applied when international storefront switching is enabled.
Changing Base Currency

It is best practice to finalize your base currency prior to capturing customer transactions to maintain accounting consistency in historical ledger analytics.

3. Storefront Multi-Locale Activation

Webito provides native multi-language capability across 7 languages:

  1. Toggle permitted locales in the Localization dashboard.
  2. Define the fallback root locale for unauthenticated visitors.
  3. Right-to-Left (RTL) styling activates automatically when Persian or Arabic is active.
